Avoriaz is a completely pedestrianised resort, no cars, vans or lorries. The best way to travel around, especially if you have little ones or lots of luggage is by horse drawn sleigh.

The Cascade des Brochaux is a stunning waterfall located above Les Lindarets, the charming "goat village". Just a 1h30 walk from Avoriaz, or 30 minutes from Les Lindarets.

This family run farm is open for visits in summer and winter where you can take a tour or simply buy some of their delicious cheeses.

A great walk through a beech forest and dramatic limestone gorges carved by the Dranse de Morzine. Expect vibrant rock colours, safe cliffside paths and even a daring glass walkway you can try.

The Morzine Avoriaz golf course is based around the Procolou piste just under Avoriaz town.

The Les Gets golf course is a full 18 hole course with views of the surrounding mountains including Mont Blanc. The course is open during the summer months and has a club house and pro shop.

Located in the heart of Avoriaz is the Lift Pass office, near to the tourist office. SERMA Avoriaz operates the lifts and lift pass offices for ticket sales in Avoriaz as well as the lift pass office & the lift at the Super-Morzine gondola, Ardent lift and the Prodains Express cable car.

Situated close to the information point and the underground parking this particular lift pass office has been put in place in order to assist all those renting apartments in this popular area of Avoriaz.

The Prodains lift ticket office is at the foot of the Avoriaz cliffs at the bus stop. Ski and pedestrian lift passes are available here.

At the foot of the Ardent Cable Car are three windows where you can buy your lift and ski passes.

The Super Morzine gondola (or bubble) is the lift connecting Morzine to Avoriaz from the centre of Morzine.

Avoriaz is a purpose-built ski resort but, unlike so many of the resorts that sprang up in the 60s and 70s, it isn't home to unsightly concrete monoliths but instead wood clad apartments and chalets that sympathetically blend into the surrounding mountains.

The picturesque village of Les Lindarets or the "Goat Village” as it’s more fondly known, is a worth a visit in summer and winter.

Morzine is one of the towns in the massive Portes du Soleil ski area that stretches across twelve resorts through France and Switzerland.

Montriond is a small village that sits on the eastern side of the valley from Morzine. Although it is separated from the main body of Morzine by the Dereches river, it is as close to the lifts, shops and bars as some parts of Morzine and has better access to the Ardent bubble than most of Morzine.

Les Gets is far more than just a satellite town of Morzine, it is a great resort and thriving village in its own right with its own charm and comprehensive lift system.

Châtel is a traditional Alpine village situated at the bottom of some of the most popular, varied and beautiful ski slopes in the Portes du Soleil.
