Exciting one hour hydrospeed excursion down the river in Thonon Les Bains
This is an amazing activity where you can have fun on the river, suitable for good swimmers from 14 years and above.
You don't need to be a cross channel swimmer for this activity, but you need to like water and be at home in it! The most important thing is to learn the art of using fins. Once this is achieved hydrospeed is a piece of cake. Your guide will explain the basics of navigating down the river, how to enter and get out of the current and the rules of safety.
Meeting at Thonon les Bains, the activity lasts approximately one hour. There will be a maximum of 20 people per group.
Hydrospeeding is suitable for strong swimmers from the age of 14 upwards.

You're welcome to come just for a drink or two, either inside in the cosy bar or outside on the sunny terrace. A great après-ski vibe make this a popular restaurant with locals and tourists alike.

With inside and outside dining as well as a bar, this is a popular, large restaurant in Avoriaz. Dine on local Savoyard dishes, croque monsieur or frites, it all comes at a reasonable price. They offer traditional and varied cuisine, with seasonal flavours: discover their salads, specialties, pasta and omelettes, meat and fish, snacks and sandwiches, cheeses and desserts. The bar is a great place to have a drink while skiing or for apres-ski.
A dining experience like no other! A spectacular and unique 200m2 ice grotto, bar, restaurant and mini hotel in Avoriaz, where you'll enjoy a typical Savoyard cheese fondue or aperitif in a unique setting.
Avoriaz is a completely pedestrianised resort, no cars, vans or lorries. The best way to travel around, especially if you have little ones or lots of luggage is by horse drawn sleigh.
Le Strike Roc Bowling Bar in Avoriaz is a year-round destination for fun, food, and friendly competition. During the off-season, the venue welcomes guests from Monday to Friday, 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm, including public holidays and May bank holidays.
Aquariaz is an aquatic paradise set in the heart of Avoriaz offering a huge water park made up of a gentle flowing indoor river, a slidewinder (an aquatic halfpipe), a toddlers paddling pool and water playhouse, a large pool with natural climbing walls.
Located in the centre of Avoriaz is the outdoor 'patinoire' or ice rink.
