One to two hour whitewater rafting on a running river from Thonon les Bains
A selection of exhilarating rafting excursions to suit all abilities.
Enjoy exhilarating rapids as you twist and turn down the river. Rafting is with expert supervision and full safety equipment.
You'll need to bring a swimsuit, shoes and towel.
Meeting at Thonon les Bains, choose from the Discovery, Rodeo, or Longo courses.
Discovery - (One hour on the water) This takes place on the lower part of the river and is ideal if this is your first time at rafting. You will be shown how to swim in the currents to make you aware of the principles of safety in the river. this is accessible to anyone over the age of eight.
Rodeo - (One hour on the water) This is a slightly more challenging course and is for people looking for the sporty aspect of rafting with a six km descent, suitable for those 13 years and above.
Longo - (One and a half hours on the water) This option involves both sections of the river (12km in total) and is suitable for those 13 years and above.
You must be able to swim in order to take part in this activity.

Located in the heart of the resort at 47 Place du Snow, it’s a place that changes with the day, moving seamlessly from café to restaurant to lively bar. Since opening in 1997, Globe Trotter has been creating warm, authentic experiences with a perfect balance of friendliness and generosity.
Le Strike Roc Bowling Bar in Avoriaz is a year-round destination for fun, food, and friendly competition. During the off-season, the venue welcomes guests from Monday to Friday, 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays from 4pm to 10pm, including public holidays and May bank holidays.
Avoriaz is a completely pedestrianised resort, no cars, vans or lorries. The best way to travel around, especially if you have little ones or lots of luggage is by horse drawn sleigh.

Aquariaz is an aquatic paradise set in the heart of Avoriaz offering a huge water park made up of a gentle flowing indoor river, a slidewinder (an aquatic halfpipe), a toddlers paddling pool and water playhouse, a large pool with natural climbing walls.
Located in the centre of Avoriaz is the outdoor 'patinoire' or ice rink.

The resort plays host to a number of winter music festivals which take place across the resort and pistes, namely Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx in March. In summer, the Pass'portes du Soleil mountain bike festival is the biggest event for bikers, with the occasional Tour de France stage passing nearby.
