Up to 50cm of fresh snow in Avoriaz

After an incredibly snowy winter, it seems right that the last big weekend of the season is a snowy one. Cold wintery conditions made for excellent tree skiing over Easter weekend.

It was mostly foggy skiing but with all of the resort and its tree-lined runs still open there were plenty of places to ride. The weather forecast for the coming week calls for more of the same unsettled weather. Where the freezing level lies will determine whether we will see rain or snow. The only sure thing is that we'll have great conditions and plenty of snow right to the end of the season.

Upcoming Events

There is plenty going on in Avoriaz throughout the year. The resort plays host to a number of winter music festivals which take place across the resort and pistes, namely Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx in March. In summer, the Pass'portes du Soleil mountain bike festival is the biggest event for bikers, with the occasional Tour de France stage passing nearby.
