Local Ice Hockey Team Miss Out On Place in Semi Finals of Magnus League
The local ice hockey team - the Morzine-Avoriaz Penguins - have had a fantastic season but their run sadly came to an end on Saturday night at the Skoda Arena here in Morzine.
The Penguins headed into this weekend with the tie balanced at one game a piece and on a high having beaten Rouen by 2 goals to nil away from home on Wednesday night.
Sadly the team couldn't build on this momentum and ended up coming up short against Rouen in both home games of their quarter final play off of the Magnus League - going down 3-4 in both Friday and Saturday nights' matches.
Whilst the competitive season may be over, there's still a chance to see the Penguins in action as they take on the Chamonix Stars in an exhibition match this Wednesday at 20:45
