After 10 years without any new developments, Avoriaz is going all out with the resort facelift coupled with a number of new developments ensuring a new level of quality for the highest resort in the Portes du Soleil.

Avoriaz has been working hard in the lead up to the resorts 50th anniversary next year with a huge development budget of € 200 million (excluding lifts), which began a little over a year ago.

This spring developemt works stepped up a gear, which resulted in the closure of the resort for the summer - working at 1800 metres project management needed to make the most of all the good weather days!

471 new apartments & 1300 new beds

Pierre & Vacances who are backing the development will have a total of 1200 new beds to offer spread over 470 new apartments.

These new beds will be ready this Christmas in the Quartier des Crozats, which comprises of approximately 16,600 m² and four buildings aesthetically integrated into the landscape.

The area located near the Falaise, the Quartier de L’Amara, will have 5 Pierre et Vacances Premium residences, underground parking, a spa with swimming pool, a childcare nursery and a number of bars, restaurants and shops - a real village in its own right.

Aquariaz an aqualudic center

Pierre & Vacances have used their knowledge from Center Parcs to develop a unique centre in the Alps that includes a river, hot tubs, a water-tree, a water half pipe ... all this in tropical forest atmosphere under the shelter of a glass dome.
The expected opening for Aquariaz is July 2012.
