Where can I change/draw out money?

There is a Banque Populaire and a Crédit Agricole in Avoriaz centre where one can change money during banking hours. Banque Populaire is open Monday to Friday from 9.30am - 12.30pm & 2.30pm - 5.30pm and Crédit Agricole is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am - 12 noon & 1.45pm - 6pm (A.M. only on Saturday). The Post Office in the Galerie des Hauts Forts (just past Hotel Les Dromonts) will also do money exchange from 9.15am - 1.15pm, Monday to Friday. However, the easiest way to obtain Euros is to use a credit or debit card in one of the cashpoint machines in the centre of town. Both banks mentioned before have cash points and there is an additional ATM at the Galerie des Hauts Forts. All cash points accept Visa, Mastercard, Cirrus etc. Please note that most banks in France close on Sundays, Mondays and all public holidays. They also take the traditional lunch break of 12am to 2pm, so if you need to speak to a cashier make sure you have checked their opening times first.
