When Do the Mountain Huts Open and Close for the Season?

There are many mountain huts in and around the Avoriaz,the Portes du Soleil region that offer a resting place and sustenance for the weary traveller. A large proportion of them are closed in the winter although some may still offer shelter for back country tourers and climbers. The seasonal opening and closing dates is governed to a certain extent, by the severity of the winter and how quickly the snow disappears.
