The Evergreen Endurance event took place recently, setting off from Lac Montriond near Morzine with a frosty 4km open water swim, a 181km cycle to Chamonix and a 43km on the trails of Chamonix at the end. That's 228km in total for anything thinking about entering next years event??

The resort plays host to a number of winter music festivals which take place across the resort and pistes, namely Rock the Pistes and Snowboxx in March. In summer, the Pass'portes du Soleil mountain bike festival is the biggest event for bikers, with the occasional Tour de France stage passing nearby.
