What a first day!
The New Year celebrations have left my head a little fuzzy but the mountains are the perfect cure to a late night.
Clean, crisp air and clear skies can wash away even the most industrial of hangovers and that is what the Portes du Soleil was blessed with on the 1st January 2009.
Temperatures are set to stay low and the skies are forecast to remain clear so all is well on the slopes and with the festive season drawing to a close lift ques should start to shorten and town will quieten down.
2009 has started well.
