A young French skier has died following a tragic accident in Avoriaz at the weekend. 19 year old Carl Hauteville was skiing off piste with a friend when he fell into a stream at around 11:30 on Saturday morning.

Despite the combined efforts of firefighters and the PGHM, the rescue attempt was sadly unsuccessful and Carl tragically drowned.

Carl Hauteville was an ex-competition mogul skier and a long term member of the Evian Freestyle Ski Club.

Our thoughts go out to Carl, his family and friends, and the Evian Freestyle Ski Club.
