With inside and outside dining as well as a bar, this is a popular, large restaurant in Avoriaz. Dine on local Savoyard dishes, croque monsieur or frites, it all comes at a reasonable price. They offer traditional and varied cuisine, with seasonal flavours: discover their salads, specialties, pasta and omelettes, meat and fish, snacks and sandwiches, cheeses and desserts. The bar is a great place to have a drink while skiing or for apres-ski.

Located at the bottom of the half-pipe, it couldn't be a better place to soak up the sun.

In the heart of the traditional mountain village known locally as the 'goat village', enjoy your lunch on the sunny terrace or inside the cosy traditional style restaurant. In the summer you can watch the cheeky animals roaming the streets!

Settle into this rustic restaurant for lunch or dinner during the winter and summer season. The friendly staff will give you a warm welcome and you'll appreciate the prompt service.

On the menu you'll find traditional French and grill-style dishes, such as lamb ribs and T-Bone veal or beef stake with chips, as well as local Savoyard options including tartiflette, or savoyarde chicken escalope. There are also seafood options and reasonably-priced set lunch menus.

Wash down your meal with a choice from the sensibly-priced wine list, or some local Brasserie du Mont Blanc beers. Don't forget to sample one of their delicious home-made patisseries for desert.

3. Globetrotter restaurant and après-ski Bar

Globe Trotter in Avoriaz is a vibrant, all-day destination that welcomes visitors from early December to late April, offering everything from breakfast to après-ski and late-night drinks. Located in the heart of the resort at 47 Place du Snow, it’s a place that changes with the day, moving seamlessly from café to restaurant to lively bar. Since opening in 1997, Globe Trotter has been creating warm, authentic experiences with a perfect balance of friendliness and generosity.

Start your day on the large sunny terrace with a hearty breakfast or coffee, taking in the mountain views and fresh alpine air. The restaurant serves a varied menu throughout the day, featuring burgers, salads, meats, Savoyard specialities, crepes, and waffles - all in generous portions to satisfy both small and large appetites.

As the afternoon unfolds, Globe Trotter transforms into a buzzing après-ski bar. Live DJs, concerts, and themed evenings create an energetic and festive atmosphere that lasts until 2am, making it one of the resort’s unmissable nightlife spots.

Whether you’re fuelling up for the slopes, enjoying a leisurely lunch, or joining the evening celebrations, Globe Trotter offers a unique 2-in-1 experience. It’s a convivial, versatile space where every visit becomes a journey, and every meal or drink is shared in good company.

4. La Cabane Bar and Restaurant

A large restaurant and bar split over two floors and with a sunny terrace, serving Asiatic and French style food, with tapas too in a beautifully decorated interior.

Cheese, slow cooked lamb, burgers, sushi, pasta, steaks, snails as well as home-made desserts and cocktails.

Open in summer and winter from 12:00 to 15:00 and 19:00 to 22:30.

5. La Taniere Restaurant

Decorated in cosy Savoyard style, with lots of wood and a fireplace in the centre, this restaurant serves a wide range of local Savoyard and traditional French dishes. There's a great pizza menu - relax and eat pizza by the central fireplace on a snowy day or on the sunny terrace on a bluebird day. This is a great option if not everyone in your group is craving pizza as La Taniere offer a plat du jour and comprehensive menu that would suit all tastes from burgers and sandwiches to omelettes, salads and pasta. 

Dine inside or on the huge terrace at the bottom of the pistes. Closed from May to mid December. In the winter season, it's open from 08:00 to 20:00.

Restaurant showcasing locally-sourced produce in the brand new four star hotel Mil8 in Avoriaz.

The Mil8 hotel restaurant is the perfect place to eat, whether you are a family with children or a group of friends. The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and passers-by and offers you two dining rooms to experience creative and high-quality cuisine.

At lunchtime, you are welcomed into the piste level dining room and terrace, where you can choose lunch from a brasserie-style menu. Food choices include platters of cured meats and cheese, Croque Monsieur with Abondance cheese and truffle or even parsnip purée with Sardinian flat bread, all locally sourced where possible.

In the evening, you can look forward to an intimate bistro style atmosphere at the ground floor dining room of the hotel. Here, traditional cuisine is served with an additional modern touch so that even those who are connoisseurs of French food can discover new tastes.

There is a special children's menu with tasty but healthy options adapted to children. These are also made using mainly local and seasonal ingredients.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, both in summer and in winter.

7. Le Refuge d'Avoriaz

Located in the central square of Avoriaz, just a short walk from the tourist office, this restaurant blends traditional charm with modern comforts. You can dine inside in a cosy setting with views through huge picture windows or enjoy the sun on the spacious terrace. Perfect for groups, it serves Alpine favourites like fondue, raclette and hot-stone grilled meats, alongside classic French dishes such as duck confit, creamy chicken, burgers, pastas, and other hearty, crowd-pleasing options.

A children's menu is also available. We recommend you book a table in advance.

Wild Beets Kitchen is a new concept focusing on healthy eating and serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, salads, wraps, nutritional smoothies and quality coffee, every day of the season. Visit them to get your fix of delicious and healthy dishes packed with the nutrition that will give you the energy to stay on top of your game.

Located in The Hive Gym and Fitness centre, on route d'Avoriaz, just outside of Morzine town centre. Enjoy the sunny terrace by the river. Eat in or takeaway and there is a dinner delivery service available.

Open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 all year round, open Saturdays 10:00 to 15:00 in summer and winter season - opening days and times may vary according to the season.
