La Fruitière at Folie Douce in Avoriaz serves gourmet regional dishes with a buzzing mountain atmosphere. Burgers include a pulled beef option and the plant-based Le Boyond, plus casual burgers at La Petite Cuisine. Open daily with après-ski entertainment, it’s a must-visit on the plateau.

Located at the top of Avoriaz and accessible by foot or skis, La Fruitière offers a warm and lively dining experience inspired by traditional mountain life. The restaurant’s name recalls the old dairy cooperatives famous for their cheese, and the menu reflects this heritage with dishes crafted from locally sourced Savoie and Swiss produce. Head chef Franck Mischler and his team create regional specialities with a modern twist.

For burger lovers, there’s a pulled beef burger and a plant-based option called Le Boyond. If you prefer something more casual, their cantine La Petite Cuisine also offers burgers. Open every day with two lunchtime sittings, La Fruitière is a great spot to enjoy a gourmet meal and stay on for the famous Folie Douce après-ski with live music on the terrace.

2. Cookie Café Mountain Restaurant

Cookie Café is a true “must-visit” during your time in the Portes du Soleil. Perched at 2,300m between Morzine, Avoriaz and Champéry, at the top of the Mossettes TDS lift, it’s the highest-altitude mountain restaurant in the region. Expect a welcoming vibe, hearty dishes and a stunning sun terrace offering 360-degree panoramic views - an unforgettable place to pause, refuel, soak up the dramatic Alpine scenery and enjoy a well-earned break high above the valleys below.

Cookie Cafe combines fantastic food, a cool atmosphere and has a breath-taking mountain back drop that is often above the clouds. On bad weather days check-in to their ‘chill out lounge’ upstairs where you can charge your phone, borrow a book, play board games or simply re-charge on a sofa!

The gourmet burgers, hand-crafted by their local Swiss butcher, are the best sellers. Add to that freshly squeezed juice blends, fresh milkshakes, wraps, soups, salads, Taiwanese Bao Buns, pizzas and multiple vegetarian options, plus some great wines and beers and you are in for a real treat. Every afternoon enjoy the themed daily drinks specials. The week starts with Mojito Monday!

Open every day until 16:30 and serving food until 15:45. You can get back to Morzine easily via the ski bus from Ardent as it’s just one direct blue, red or black run down from Cookie Café so it’s a great place to finish your day!

3. La Terrasse Des Lindarets Restaurant

Fun restaurant serving Corsican food and specialities, in a magnificent setting you can eat and drink out on the terrace with live music and DJs, or get warm in the restaurant.

The restaurant is on the slope that runs through the adorable and quaint village of Les Lindarets, which runs down to the Ardent telecabine. It's a really unique and fun atmosphere, on a street/piste full of restaurants and bars spilling out onto the snow. This restaurant really stands out, with it's large sunny terrace which is great for groups dining together, with good vibes and music. After lunch the party really starts with live DJs and dancing on the terrace and tables! Their excellent and fast service means you can get back on the slopes quickly if you want to. 

On the menu you'll find a varied selection, with Corsican specialities and fish dishes inspired by the owner David, as well as some traditional Savoyarde plates, steaks, salads, burgers, pastas - something to please everyone! Finish of with a delicious tart or cafe gourmand (a selection of mini-deserts), and wash it down with a Genepy digestif! Although most traditional Savoyard dishes contain or are served with local charcuterie, perhaps the most well-known dish of all is vegetarian - the famous cheese fondue. A Swiss-French classic, the fondue here is a standout dish, combined with a glass of wine and a fantastic après atmosphere mid-afternoon, you’re guaranteed to have a good time. 

This a a great spot for lunch, or to stop of at on your way down to Montriond at the end of the ski day, for a boogie and a drink. You can ski down to the Ardent carpark without taking any lifts.

In the summer, the local farm goats are left to roam wild in the streets, and the village is aptly nicknamed 'goat village', attracting many tourists. Enjoy watching the goats cause havoc and explore the streets whilst you settling in for your your lunch and drinks.

4. Wild Beets Kitchen Restaurant

Wild Beets Kitchen is a new concept focusing on healthy eating and serving breakfast, brunch and lunch, salads, wraps, nutritional smoothies and quality coffee, every day of the season. Visit them to get your fix of delicious and healthy dishes packed with the nutrition that will give you the energy to stay on top of your game.

Located in The Hive Gym and Fitness centre, on route d'Avoriaz, just outside of Morzine town centre. Enjoy the sunny terrace by the river. Eat in or takeaway and there is a dinner delivery service available.

Open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 all year round, open Saturdays 10:00 to 15:00 in summer and winter season - opening days and times may vary according to the season.
